Sony had just acquired the rights to release the game for the Ghostbusters franchise. It was Vivendi who was originally going to publish Ghostbusters but the game was taken by Atari last year. Just before the 25th anniversary of the franchise Sony moved in and taken Ghostbusters from Atari.
It is said that both PS3 and PS2 versions will be released on June 19 coinciding with the blu-ray release of the movie while the portable version will be in the autumn.
Ghostbusters was a comedy movie released in 1984. It features the story of four ghost exterminators (Peter, Ray, Winston, and Egon). It grossed over $500 million in its release in the US. It is currently regarded as one of the top comedy movies of all time.
